Hi. My name is Michelle Roebuck. I created Your Personal and Home Security website in 2008 because I wanted to give practical, useful information on how you can protect yourself as well as your family. I wanted to provide my readers with the tools necessary to defend themselves and protect their valuable possessions.

Real World Experience was My Teacher

I have a degree in Criminal Justice and a Minor in Psychology. But it's from real world experience that I get most of my information. My car was broken into. Someone tried to break into my house while I was home. I have family members who used self defense to protect themselves.

All of these events led me to create this website so that others can learn from my experiences. I also wanted to create a resource on what type of security systems and self defense products to buy that were affordable and easy to use.

I want to show you how to stop being the victim and start protecting yourself. How to stop potential thieves from stealing your valuable possessions that you worked hard for. How to feel safe and secure in your own home and not have to worry about some idiots trying to break in and terrorize your family.

With the economy the way it is, some people will turn to crime in order to get by. But that doesn't give them the right to take what belongs to you. Sometimes, you just have to fight back and let them know that you're not going to put up with it.
