Should you install a wired or wireless home security system?

Because the system uses a radio signal, it will only work up to a certain distance. Wireless systems are usually more vulnerable to frequent false alarms because signals from other electronic appliances can interfere with the radio signal of the security system.

Wireless security systems are usually more expensive than the wired ones. However, the wireless systems can be updated with the latest security innovations. There is also a cost for the replacement of the battery.

Just like with the wired system, you can have a monitoring company monitor your wireless one. And if you move, you can take the wireless system with you.
