Here, you will learn self defense tips that will help you take down your attacker. Practice these moves with a partner a couple of times. After that, get a new partner.
These moves are only effective if there is an element of surprise. So, using the same partner over and over again will cause your partner to brace for the move and theseself defense tips won't be effective.
If your attacker grabs you from the front, put your hands on his shoulders. Move your right foot behind the right leg of your attacker so that your leg is behind his. Lean forward, pushing the attacker back. Your right leg will cause him to fall over it and onto the ground. For more leverage, push your right hand against his throat as you lean forward.
You can also do a variation of this move by swinging your right leg up and forward, past the attacker's right leg, and then return your leg so that your calf makes contact with the back of the attacker's knee joint.
This move involves another situation where the attacker grabs you and is in front of you. Move your right leg to the back of the attacker's right leg. Your hip should be touching his hip. Use your right arm to grab his left shoulder. Place your left arm across his chest. Push his left shoulder while you lean forward, twisting your body to the right. This will cause him to fall over your right leg that's behind him.
If your attacker is at your side, deliver a side kick to the back of his upper leg. As you do this, slide your foot down into his calf. Act as if you're stepping on his leg. His knee will buckle and he will fall to the ground. Click here to learn about side kicks.
Remember to practice these self defense tips so that you can execute these moves effectively. The element of surprise is crucial when performing these moves. They must be executed very quickly if they are going to have any impact.
